Triumph 6T “Long Sue” – Fully Reconditioned Engine / Restoration Project

A serious rebuild is underway on this Triumph 6T, affectionately known as “Long Sue.” This project is being assembled with attention to detail, with the goal of getting everything properly machined, fitted, and finished rather than rushing the build.

The crank has been fully reconditioned and is fitted with new steel connecting rods and -0.010″ shells using engine assembly lube. The crankcases have had a drive-side seal conversion, and the timing side features a new finned timing chest with seal.

The engine also includes brand-new barrels with low-compression 71mm pistons, GPM rings, new C3-fit main bearings, new pushrod tubes, and new tappet blocks. The tappets have been reprofiled, with brand-new 70-3275 camshafts installed. A Morgo oil pump, new billet sump, new studs and dowels are also included. The cylinder head has been fully reconditioned.

The crankcase mouth is being skimmed to ensure everything is properly prepared and fitted before final assembly. Additional small components are being cleaned, blasted, and prepared as part of the rebuild.
